VitisLoop (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is developing VitisLoop Connect, a business-to-business winery interest and grape pomace supply-planning platform based in Lodi, California. We respect the privacy of winery representatives and others who interact with the platform.
Registration is currently closed during pre-launch. This policy describes our information practices and the information we may collect when the winery interest form opens.
1. Scope
This policy applies to VitisLoop Connect at vitisloop-connect.pages.dev, its winery interest form, and communications sent to us about the program. It does not govern other websites or third-party services that have separate privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
Winery and professional contact details. When registrations are open, we may collect the winery or company name, business location, contact person, role, business email address, and optional phone number.
Harvest and operations information. We may collect types of grape pomace (white, red, rosé, or other), how streams are separated, estimated harvest volumes, expected availability months, current pomace management, interest in potential future collection, and any additional comments submitted.
Communications. When you email us, we receive the information in your message and information needed to reply.
Technical and security information. Our hosting, authentication, and anti-abuse services may process IP addresses, browser or device information, verification results, timestamps, and service logs. Our application uses a keyed hash of available IP information for its submission rate-limit checks; raw IP addresses are not written to that application rate-limit table.
3. How we use information
- Evaluate whether local winery byproducts could support future grape pomace collection and processing.
- Understand potential supply, separation, logistics, and seasonal availability.
- Respond to inquiries and contact winery representatives about their expressed interest.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the platform and limit automated abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and address legitimate business records or disputes.
Participation is preliminary and non-binding. Submitting an inquiry does not establish a contract or guarantee collection, pickup, or any other service.
5. Data retention
Our retention standard for winery inquiry information is up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction with the winery, unless a longer period is necessary to meet applicable legal requirements, resolve disputes, or maintain required business records. We may remove information sooner, including in response to a verified deletion request.
Security-related records, authentication records, and service-provider logs may have different operational retention periods. We review retained information and delete or anonymize it when no longer reasonably needed.
6. How we protect information
We use safeguards designed to restrict access to submitted winery information, including authenticated administrative access, database access controls, security verification, and anti-abuse measures. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your privacy choices
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information associated with your winery inquiry. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and authority to make the request, and may retain certain records where applicable law permits or requires.
Depending on applicable privacy law and your circumstances, additional rights may apply. We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable requirements. Send requests to contact@vitisloop.com.
8. Cookies, browser storage, and Do Not Track
Essential website and security services, including Cloudflare Turnstile, may use technical information, cookies, or similar mechanisms to protect the site and verify legitimate traffic. Authorized operations users may use browser storage to maintain their authenticated sessions. Third-party service providers may process technical data under their own policies.
We do not use VitisLoop Connect for cross-site behavioral advertising. We do not currently alter essential platform behavior in response to a browser’s “Do Not Track” signal. Third-party infrastructure and security providers may handle browser signals according to their own practices.
9. Children’s privacy
VitisLoop Connect is intended for professional and business communications and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through this program.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform, our practices, or applicable requirements change. An updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
